He recently co-ordinated several customer service transformation initiatives with a total budget of £20m on behalf of 6 local authorities. As part of this work he attracted £1.25m of external investment from the Department of Communities and Local Government. The projects each successfully delivered broad ranging improvements in process efficiency, customer satisfaction and organisational effectiveness. Paul has been at the forefront of thinking on customer centricity:
Prior to incorporating Bipedal Ltd, in 2003, Paul was board Director of Crombie Anderson (a 30 person Marketing, communications and product development consultancy) where he created and built a successful Digital Communications Division. His clients included Diageo Plc, Glasgow City Council, Scottish Arts Council. Formerly he was Business Development Manager at Scottish Media Group plc. His clients included the Scottish Parliament’s first website, at that time the worlds most advanced parliamentary website, and producing 240 hours of fully managed multimedia online learning for Scottish Enterprise. Paul believes his undergraduate studies in Energy Engineering keeps him rooted in pragmatism. Since his Postgraduate Certificate in Management Science he has enjoyed applying his management skills to thorny day-to-day problems – helping make organisations and networks work even better. Paul is interested in the big picture and is able to thrive in complex environments. He enjoys listening to world music, spending time with his 2 young children and occasional hill-walking, or skiing.
